Every large or fragile piece is double-boxed with corner protection and moulded foam inserts, then palletised for freight where needed. Because our GFRC vessels are lightweight for their size, they travel far more safely than traditional stone or concrete pots.

GFRC stands for Glass-Fibre Reinforced Concrete — a blend of fine concrete and alkali-resistant glass fibres. It gives our planters the look and weight of carved stone while being up to 75% lighter, frost-proof and far more resistant to cracking than cast concrete or terracotta.

Yes. GFRC is engineered to withstand freeze-thaw cycles, so our outdoor planters can stay outside year-round in most climates. In very harsh winters we recommend raising pots onto feet and ensuring drainage holes stay clear so water never pools and freezes inside.

Far lighter than they look. A large floor urn that would weigh 40+ kg in solid concrete typically weighs 10–14 kg in GFRC. Exact weights are listed on each product page so you can plan for balconies, rooftops and shelving with confidence.

Wipe with a soft damp cloth and mild soap — avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemicals that could dull the hand-applied finish. For outdoor pieces, an occasional rinse keeps the patina looking its best. A natural mineral haze may develop over time and simply adds to the aged character.

For indoor use we recommend a matching saucer to protect floors and surfaces from drainage. Outdoors, pot feet lift the base slightly to improve airflow and stop water pooling underneath — both help your planter last longer. We stock saucers and stands in the Plant Care collection.

Absolutely. For planters with drainage, add a layer of gravel or a mesh screen over the hole, then pot directly with quality potting mix. For sealed indoor pots, keep your plant in its nursery grow-pot and lift it out to water, allowing it to drain fully before returning it.
